When we picture the stereotypical dorm meal, we often imagine simple processed things that can be made in minutes, like instant macaroni or canned soup. Our favorite meals from home are often left at home. However, what many students don't realize is their favorite foods can often be made within the dorms with surprisingly little time or strain! This recipe for French Toast is both delicious and simple.
INGREDIENTS:
Slice of bread (whichever type you prefer)
About two tablespoons of egg whites
1 tablespoon of milk or almond milk.
Cinnamon
(Vanilla extract can also be added if accessible)
DIRECTIONS:
If you like firm french toast, you can lightly toast your bread first, although this is an optional step. Mix your other ingredients into a small bowl and then saturate both sides of your bread in the mixture so that all of the flavor is absorbed. Then, using a microwave-safe plate, cook the bread for about thirty seconds, flip bread over, and repeat on the other side. Remove the bread from microwave, add berries, maple syrup, or whipped topping if you'd like, and done! A household favorite breakfast recipe made in less than five minutes.
